Founded in 1979.


ICS was created to help people in the international Anglophone community in the Paris area find psychological and psychosocial assistance. We put people experiencing psychological difficulties in touch with French or Anglophone professionals, institutions and resources, thus facilitating the transition to a new culture.

 ICS accomplishes this goal through a variety of services:
-A free telephone assessment and referral service.
-Presentations on psychological topics of interest to the community (autism, ADHD, bilinguism, cultural issues…).
-Crisis intervention.
-An initial free assessment with one of our team members in order to determine the person’s needs and appropriate help.

 ICS also serves the professional medical and mental health communities through:
-Networking and contact opportunities.
-Workshops and seminars for professional development on cutting-edge topics.
-Advice and professional support for colleagues.
-Intercultural mediation for institutions and individuals.
-Advice on ethical dilemmas arising in clinical practice.
-Research on social and clinical issues relevant to the community.

  ICS is a multidisciplinary professional team composed of:

 - Family & Couples Therapists
 - Psychotherapists
 - Group Analysts

 We have professional links to social workers, general practitioners, psychiatrists and other specialists, educational psychologists, specialists in learning disabilities and various institutions, both Anglophone and French.

To make an appointment

When you contact ICS, one of our team members will do an initial assessment of your problem and needs. If necessary, this first assessment will be followed by an appointment with one of our members. This consultation is free of charge. This interview will help to further identify your specific needs. At the conclusion of this interview, the therapist will make a recommendation, which may include a referral to a therapist or other appropriate resource in the Paris community. ICS has professional ties with hospitals, schools, medical practitioners and other professionals.
